CTC Technical Mountain Bike Leader Award training course raises you level of knowledge and skill beyond CTC Trail Leader, your next step.

Starting where the Trail Mountain Bike Leader finishes training provides you with the knowledge and skills to manage and develop group skills in technical terrain to a high level of competency. This qualification is well recognised by employers, holiday industry, AALS, local authorities and so on..

The Technical Leader Award Training/Assessment Course goes into substantially more depth in the skill of taking gropus mountain biking.  With Technical terrain comes great riding skills development, a greater level of group management, ride preperaion, risk management, navigation, trail side repairs etc.  This weekend course will raise your game and give you the tools and techniques to effectively lead and manage groups on Technical terrain. This award is no walk in the park, there is a minimum standard that needs to be reached to fulfil the award requirements.  Course tutors are very experienced and helping you develop those skills. As part of the end of course review feedback is offered, if the standard is reached the award is attained.  In the event of not quite attaining the standard in ay particular area and action plan will be formed to anable that standard tobe reached.

CTC Technical Mountain Bike Leaders are also able to deliver the GO MTB Skills award after having complete the Go MTB Leader Orientation course. The national skills award to develop young riders ensuring enjoyment, engagement, reward and progression within the activity.
