CTC Trail Leader

The CTC Trail Leader Award is the entry point into mountain bike leadership award scheme.

The Trail Leader Award course delivers training and on-going assessment over a weekend covering the essential skills of leading groups. It focuses on your skill development and leadership toolbox to enable you to lead groups effectively out on the trail.  A very hands on course with two full days out on the bike learning, practicing and developing mountain bike leadership in a very structured and positive way.

The award covers ride preparation, pre-ride, risk management, group management, leader roles, responsibilities and skills, essential navigation and trailside maintenance, dealing with emergencies and much more, all forms a packed weekend of learning and developing.
