Women's Steep & Rocky Skills course

Our Steep and Rocky mountain bike riding skills course is aimed at riders who really wish to develop their riding skills on Natural Trails in a stunning landscape.  Steep and Rocky is what we encounter a lot when riding Trail Centre's and Natural Trails, we'll unravel the mystery on how to  ride it confidentley and put method into your ride.

This carefully structured mountain bike riding skills course will help you develop and improve your technique, skills and confidence on steep and rocky terrain. We always start easy, build your knowledge and techinque then as you develop and gain confidence we progress to steeper and rockier trails. If you're not sure then give us a call!

Course Content

  • Bike set-up
  • Body position / weight distribution
  • Line Choice / Visual Cues
  • Braking - which when and how much
  • Power assisted front wheel lifts
  • Climbing small rock steps

Typical Course

Friday:

Optional Friday Mountain Bike Maintenance course

Morning:

Bike set up and safety checks. Body position, weight distribution, visual cues, braking, climbing.

Afternoon:

Small front wheel pedal lifts, developing your techniques on Steep and Rocky terrain, line choice, braking etc.  End of day informal group evaluation tea/coffe and homemade cake at Dales Bike Centre.

To enable you to get the most from your Mountain Bike Riding Skills Course we limit course size to a maximum of 6 participants.
