Speed and Flow Riding Skills Day

Speed & Flow is going to help you ride 'Faster Smoother Safer'.  Developing your riding skills to carry speed through and accelerate out of corners.  Give you the confidence and knowledge to know when and how to brake smoothly.  Make your ride flow smoothly and you'll leave your fellow riders eating your dust. This course is ideal for confident mountain bikers and those who have have been on one of our other one day skills courses.

This carefully structured riding skills course will start with some basics then quickly develop your knowledge and technique.  Carrying Speed and bringing Flow to your rides on Natural Trails in stunning scenery sets this apart from others.  We'll look at all manner of sections on our Natural Trails to enable you to develop and improve your technique, skills and confidence.  Working on carrying speed through corners,  taking fast sweeping loose bends, tight technical turns and switchbacks all on natural trails in Swaledale a stunning valley to mountain bike.

Typical Course

Friday:

Optional Friday Mountain Bike Maintenance course

Morning:

Bike set up and safety checks. Body position, weight distribution, brake power & modulation, line choice, visual, braking.

Afternoon:

Developing more advanced techniques on a range of natural trails and gradient of slope.  End of day tea/coffee and cake at Dales Bike Centre

To enable you to get the most from your Mountain Bike Riding Skills Course we limit course size to a maximum of 6 participants.
